Made in 2 days for the GMTK 2021 Game Jam with the theme being "Joined Together"
I Gacha Head
A puzzle game where the top of your head falls off when you get hit walking into low platforms.
The current build is just an idea of puzzles that will be in a full version, I'm currently working on a demo that will more accurately show what the full version will be like.

I love this game, and I would love to play it more! I wanted to know how the script for making the player lose their head works, could you give me an idea of how it works? Would be great if you could open source it :D Thanks.
i did it!
i cant get the game up :( (i have downlaoded it!)
i like it!
very good, i want more.
Your game is very good. Too bad it doesn't last longer.
ty for playing! :D
thank you, I’m honoured you have been motivated by it! I hope you have fun getting back into game development, I’d love to see anything you make :)
this is short (for the jam version) but SOOOO FUN!
Thanks! <3

I thought this was a great game! Has a lot of potential and super cute art work! I'd love to have a back story as to why he has to wear a hat but either way I had a great time!
I'm a content creator with a focus on Indie games and Short games from Game Jams!
I think it's a very cute and amazing mechanism! I can't wait for it to be officially released!
thank you! I'm going to try and release a demo by the end of this year, it will only be a little thing to showcase the new movement but I hope it will give a good idea of what the full game will be like!
cute game and nice concept. I didn't enjoy having to backtrack just to take my hat off
I think it is a fun puzzle and I made sure it was only the next room, I like reusing past things to help with the next puzzle. It is like 5 second walk
Great idea executed well. Congratz!
Pretty good game. If you wanted I think you could expand this into a full game. The concept has great promise.
Its so cute, and I love how snappy the controls are!
Thanks for participating in an interview, here's the link to the VOD; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1076795837
You have, indeed, acquired my head.
Thank you for playing, I really appreciate seeing someone playing my game because finding play testers can be hard! I have to just try and figure out how to make levels easy to understand, but this was really helpful and enjoyable to watch. Thanks again!
it is simple amazing and cute keep up the good work
and I'm gonna need the soundtrack
thank you and I just uploaded the music to my soundcloud! https://soundcloud.com/dialdylan
The Game is AMAZING
Good game, i wish there's more stage, the game itself unique and cute UuWU
Really enjoyed this game! Would love to see how you can incorporate other unique mechanics into this game :)
I really liked it! I found a glitch though, that if your head was right next to a one block gap and you landed on it from the top and immediately went under the gap, the blocks which change state depending on if you have a hat or not, the visuals of the block states would stay the same but the collision would change.
^ video of the glitch I encountered
Thanks for telling me, I’ll try to fix it today!
Short and Sweet……a lot of sweet and rather too short, enjoyed every second of it, though it wasn’t much more than something like 300 of those. I’d love to see an expansion with a story and sidequest thingies……Mario style….Good job and congrats for top 20
I'm re-working on the movement and fixing bugs and then I'll be starting making new levels and puzzles! I'm hoping to make a demo that is around 20 minutes long and having more challenging and varied gameplay, I love platforming in game so more of that. I'm thinking of it being a little more open world with different paths you can take to collect secrets!
This game was so cute, I love it. It had surprisingly good level and puzzle design
Thank you! I used to play tons of mario maker and used mark browns videos on mario games to make better levels and it translated to this game a lot because of the similar mechanics I made like the on/off style blocks, designing levels is probably my favorite part of making games.
Hello. I played this game at a friend's house and really enjoyed it. I am wondering what software you used to make it? Thanks
I used game maker studio 2, thanks for playing!
Its a great game.
thank you!!
Congrats on making top 20 in the GMTK Jam! I wanted to reach out to ask if you would be interested in participating in an interview about your experience during the jam? Interviews are conducted over Discord and presented live on Twitch.
Thanks! I'll look into it, the main problem is the time difference since it is a lot later for where I live
I can also run streams on the weekend earlier in the day, if that helps. If you can get in touch with me over Discord perhaps we can find a day / time that would be best?
Give it back :(
ok you can have it back, put it pon again. (get it? i said pon instead of on because gachapon. i'm sorry i was allowed on the internet.)
